Last Week:
We made it through our first full week in 4th grade. We had an awesome week together as we got into the swing of things. Our students are rocking this rotation schedule and are really getting the hang of 4th grade pretty quickly! In Social Studies, we worked on understanding why we created our own government by participating in a simulation of what the government was like when Great Britain had control over the 13 colonies--ask your kiddo about Queen Brown :). We also learned The Preamble to the Constitution. Students did an awesome job of learning the movements and understanding the purpose of The Preamble-- Quiz them to see if they can remember! Next week: In Social Studies we will be learning about the Bill of Rights for the next couple of weeks. Reminders: Please remember to check your child's agenda every night to see what color they landed on for the day as well as what they were up to in all of their classes. As teachers, we love to partner with parents in our students' education. Let us know if you have any questions! No School on Friday, August 31st OR Monday, September 3rd
