Math: Still working on working with fractions and whole numbers this month!
Science: Students have been studying different natural disasters. Reading and Writing: Students are working on their checkpoint for their reading goal, starting opinion writing, and Mrs. Hendrix and Miss Dunn are putting them through a "Grammar Bootcamp" to get them ready for MAP Testing! Social Studies: We are studying the Westward Expansion/Oregon Trail--some super fun things coming! :) We are also having a Junior Achievement representative come in each week from the bank to talk with our fourth graders about entrepreneurship. We have quite a bit going on in March. I hope putting these dates on the calendar will help! Next week is the Book Fair and Literacy Night! -We will have a shopping day during school on Wednesday for sure. -Literacy Night is on Thursday, March 7 from 6:00-7:00. -It is Spirit Week, there is a form coming home today that explains each day! Friday, March 8th is a half day Monday, March 11th is a snow make up day, and Tuesday March 12th is a half day make up day March 13-15th- SPRING BREAK! March 25th- Parent Teacher Conferences--Look for a note in your student's folder to schedule if we need to see you. March 28th- Flip Flop Girls Fashion Show at 6:00-- if your 4th grade girl was a part of Flip Flop Girls, you can come and watch them participate in this.
